16.02.2019

To answer the rector’s question the head of state promised to support the unique museum project.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin promised to support the project aimed at the creation the interactive museum of technic and aviation base on first supersonic passenger Tu-144 aircraft carried out by KNRTU-KAI. During the meeting with  the public representatives at the «Moskovsky» center of culture and sports, the rector of KNRTU-KAI Albert Gilmutdinov told the President about the museum, the main idea of the project and real movement towards its realization.

“The idea is good. Of course, it needs to be supported, - answered the President. It was a very good project of the XX century, it showed the actual achievements of the Soviet Union. We need to come back to supersonic passenger aviation. It’s needed to think over it. For the present, we have implemented a brilliant project in Kasan, in fact, created a new Tu-160 for the Armed Forces - a supersonic combat bomber. And not only a bomber itself, but a weapon for it. It works like clockwork. Just great. So why not create a passenger supersonic aircraft?”

Vladimir Putin also added that the implementation of  the project might be within the bounds of common sense.
